Hot weekend

Its getting hotter each passing day but as we (that's me and my cousin sis) leave for work early morning and stay indoors in Air conditioned offices throughout the day and then come back late we don't really feel the intensity of the heat. But during weekends :-( This weekend we managed to keep ourselves cool and busy. We left home after our breakfast and spent some time at a beauty salon. Now this salon entertains people only by appointments and if you arrive without one then you need to spend a good hour waiting for your turn and that's what we wanted. :-D. I dropped my cousin and went for some work. My cousin sat there waiting for me and reading magazines. I returned after a couple of hours and spent time reading magazines waiting for her. We left that place only to have our lunch and catch up on some sleep. :-D The next day, Sunday, we had elaborate plans. We left early after our brunch and spent the entire day in a bookstore browsing through books and then entered a ma...

CNN Weather Prediction

One of my friend, NS , told me about this and I started checking it daily / weekly and realised and experienced how accurate the weather prediction is. But yesterday...:-( It rained in the evening, actually poured for a good half hour, everyone was happy and excited to be relieved of the summer heat but me was dejected and felt betrayed by the CNN weather prediction. How could they predict incorrectly. According to them the heat would continue and there was absolutely no sign of rain ya but it was to be partially cloudy weather but NO RAINS! I decided then and there never ever to visit the site. :-( Goodbye CNN. My coworker, JD , suggested that maybe they predicted for the city and as we were in the outskirts it wouldn't apply to us. Yeah, that made sense, but still me was not happy about. Bye for now CNN :-( Disappointed, I boarded my bus for yet another journey back home. As soon we were out of the campus, what do I see....few 200 metres from my campus I see that the roads are al...

Overheard @ Office Cafe

A senior giving some Gyaan to a fresher - "Nothing will happen by doing these routine tasks, you need to be aware of the latest happenings globally. You see Expertise stands for experience; for coding you don't need experience but for acquiring knowledge on the system you need experience. Say if you are coding a system that is for the credit service industry then you need to be an expert on credit card industry, the other competitor systems available in the market, in technical you must have the knowledge of the system architecture of the system But remember just having knowledge doesn't serve the purpose, you need to have the right knowledge, applicable at the right time, that too have organized knowledge" Wow!!

More movies...more review

I celebrated the May day watching movies coz it was snowing outside and may have got frostbites :-P (Hey $$, I took your suggestion and stayed indoors :-P) I watched the movie "Perfect Stranger" starring Bruce Wills and Halle Berry. Yuk!! Please can someone explain what the movie was about??? Mr. Beans Holiday was a refreshing movie. I generally hate Mr Beans and his antics but after subjecting myself to the above one, I loved the movie. It was hilarious. Had a good time watching the movie. :-D

Camera out of focus

My camera is out of focus since a month now. How you ask, well it just happened and when I finally took it for repairs, the man quoted 25% the price of the camera. :-( Though my camera is in Warranty period, ya well it hasn't celebrated its first Birthday :-(, its of no use coz Warranty doesn't cover physical damage :-( My folks asked me to bring it back home and its going to be repaired there. Now me have to live without my camera till I go home. :-( and all because of you know who, yes the same one !
