Moments...

When you smile at someone you do expect a smile back but at times it doesn't happen. Makes one sad :( But finally I not only got smiles back but kind words too. I had the opportunity to travel and stay in another country. The city sadly was a small town more like a urban village. Tucked far away across the oceans I was hoping to get a glimpse of a different culture. But it was just like my country. The houses were alike in every respect except the shutters on windows and doors. Cooking on the electric stove and you having to dump the garbage on your own in the bin on the roadside was something different but I loved the ease. I gorged on veggies, cheese and fruits. I behaved as if I never have eaten them. I bought them not from the supermarket but from a farmers market :) Suddenly I felt my life revolved around food :) Me being such a good customer, after a couple of days I befriended the vegetable vendor and then my smiles were returned. Yes I had this trip.....it was a nice experience. I went out with my friends and both of them had never seen snow nor hot water spring.Although both the snow and the spring was like nothing but still looking at their excited faces I felt wow. They were like this cool real tourists. They posed for pics, played in that bit of snow :D, excited at looking at everything around. They were not worried about cold, remove jackets pose for pics then get into the jackets :D They were the ones afraid of heights, getting ill, throwing up and all and next moment they were ready. Anyways I was happy that I have better constitution than them. :D This guy who drove us around the place. He stays in Shimla. He had done lot of odd jobs before he started with the taxi thing. He started with driving trucks and he has visited all places in India  (Guess most of them) but he says his heart lies in Shimla. He was a guide and he took people around. Ok this time me gonna pen down my trip so it started a day before....coz thats also important. Time I pack my suitcase to open and find that I am carrying 4 night pajamas...anyways let me forget it....I think I have enough to stay warm and go to office too :) Anyways me started my journey to the Airport. It was a strange thing that happened....a man just stood ahead of the car and the driver braked his way....and the mans life was just saved. I was too stunned and my driver was really shaken. He couldn't drive ahead for a long time. And I was wondering how can I thank and appreciate his efforts. And then there passed 2-3 cars which honked and waved. I thought probably they are wondering why our cab is going slow. But then I realized it was something different. Drivers were actually congratulating him for his good work. Thats instant recognition. :) Salute to him. Airport was a big fish market. And a terrible one. It took me an hour before I could get past the queue. So I trie...

Yup thats how it is in here....cold winter mornings with just fog and believe it one cannot even see a few feet away - thats the thickness of the fog. Best is I haven't ventured out of my home since Tuesday. Its fun sitting amidst all quilt, propped against pillow and mom serves food even before I am able to finish the first one :) So all I do is sit in the warmth and work. :( Yeah for me its working holiday!!! Its odd hours at the moment early morns and late night but me planning to watch some movies today during  noon :) And weekends probably I wont be in my house :)

Reached the cool land  - not cool as in cool but cool as in COLD!!! In less than an hour of my arrival me have eaten so much of food that me don't eat in one day :) On my way up here ....did a good deed left my window seat and gave it to a lady with a baby. I gave up and then felt why I did it because I had paid extra to get myself checked in for the seat of my choice! Thinking I looked around and voila spotted this 3 seats empty :) Me switched there - and found that no one was taking them as the seats wouldn't recline as the behind one was the emergency exit seats. Me took it and guess what slept all the way here in the 3 seats :) Now back to work!!!

Ok so I traveled by Air and I am increasing my carbon footprints :( I got to do something to decrease it. Anyways me spend more time at Airport than anywhere and it ought to be coz New Year I had spent there :) So since Friday I have been on the go and finally I had a good sleep Sunday :) Bach home I might get back to normal life!!!

Ooh my journey was pretty interesting and eventful as I had the privileged company of a cockroach and a rat, an old uncle - dadaji , a gal in love, 1 uncle and 2 pals. I will exclude the cockroach and the rat from my discussions as a mark of respect to them. Now this Dadaji was an interesting man...he read books from the teaching of Koran, to yogic visions, to the Religion in the country today. He loved to play cards and knew so many games which he taught to the rest of the gang. He followed his daily schedule even in the train. After we boarded exactly at 8 he had his dinner, sat in a yoga posture which he claimed helps in digestion and at 9 he was off to sleep. he simply turned off all lights and announced that he wished to sleep. We too followed him as we were left with no choice. The next morning he was up and at 9:30 AM he switched off the lights and asked all the sleeping heads to wake up. He ensured we all woke up - no arguments. he had by that time finished his break fast an...
