Dedicated to me from me.... :D It may appear that I am perfect but maybe to my self am thats why me the Selfish :D Before I proceed - Judge me all you want, but keep the verdict to yourself.   "Most people learn by observation, and there are the few who learn by experimentation. And then there are those who actually TOUCH the fire to see if it's really hot."   And I question a lot.....my favorites are why? but I ask only to myself....not to others and thats a flaw but for now about me.... "You can't free a bird if it ain't gonna fly. You can't live a life if you don't ask "Why?"   If you hurt me twice but you make me smile once and me gonna remember that time and forget the rest but o hark it doesnt mean me forgive :)- "You never see the bad days in a photo album but it’s those days that get us from one happy snapshot to the next."   At times when I am in a dilemma I go for it.... If you do it you’ll regret it, if you do...

"If you accept what has happened and search for the positive, you will be able to move forward in your life." Catherine Pulsifer, from Wings of Wisdom  "Life is too short to wake up in the morning with regrets. So love the people who treat you right, forget about the ones who don't and believe that everything happens for a reason. If you get a chance, take it. If it changes your life, let it. Nobody said that it'd be easy, they just promised it would be worth it." Author Unknown   "Live with no excuses and love with no regrets. Montel  "Are you bored with life? Then throw yourself into some work you believe in with all your heart, live for it, die for it, and you will find happines that you had thought could never be yours." Dale Carnegie  "When life gives you a hundred reasons to cry, show life that you have a thousand reasons to smile." Author Unknown  "Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and ...

Dedicated to the festival of lights: We cannot hold a torch to light another's path without brightening our own.  ~Ben Sweetland Light gives of itself freely, filling all available space.  It does not seek anything in return; it asks not whether you are friend or foe.  It gives of itself and is not thereby diminished.  ~Michael Strassfeld There are two ways of spreading light; to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it.  ~Edith Wharton A sensible man will remember that the eyes may be confused in two ways - by a change from light to darkness or from darkness to light; and he will recognize that the same thing happens to the soul.  ~Plato You can owe nothing, if you give back its light to the sun.  ~Antonio Porchia In the right light, at the right time, everything is extraordinary.  ~Aaron Rose Inside my empty bottle I was constructing a lighthouse while all the others were making ships.  ~Charles Simic A smile is the ligh...

I never really watched nor enjoyed mushy movies....long back I read the book Notebook and I really liked it....actually loved it and when I watched the movie the Notebook, I was enthralled, it was awesome, terrific - I can go on and on about it but that day I felt if love has to happen it has to be like Noah and Allie -  a love that didn't die separation of 14 years....its like they grew without being apart. I am nothing special; just a common man with common thoughts, and I've led a common life. There are no monuments dedicated to me and my name will soon be forgotten. But in one respect I have succeeded as gloriously as anyone who's ever lived: I've loved another with all my heart and soul; and to me, this has always been enough. The best love is the kind that awakens the soul and makes us reach for more, that plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds, and that's what you've given me. That's what I hope to give to you forever. I love...

"A leaf fluttered in through the window this morning, as if supported by the rays of the sun, a bird settled on the fire escape, joy in the task of coffee, joy accompanied me as I walked." ~ Anais Nin Here are my pieces of joy :) A glimpse of the moon from my bedroom window Stars caught glistening that catches me wishing A flower in bloom and a petal falls off Butterfly fluttering around Rain drops that forms the puddles Rainbow that accompanies it The setting sun sharing its colors Rising sun beaming A leaf falling from the tree A sunbird fluttering among the shrubs A feather swept by the wind settles on my feet A honeybee buzzing around the flower sucking the nectar A petal waving in the breeze waiting for its turn to bloom

The last FF which I played reminded of Anais Nin and so here goes some quotes from her: There came a time when the risk to remain tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.  Don't let one cloud obliterate the whole sky. Love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don't know how to replenish its source. It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals. It dies of illness and wounds; it dies of weariness, of witherings, of tarnishings.  I postpone death by living, by suffering, by error, by risking, by giving, by loving.  We do not grow absolutely, chronologically. We grow sometimes in one dimension, and not in another, unevenly. We grow partially. We are relative. We are mature in one realm, childish in another. Living never wore one out so much as the effort not to live. The dream was always running ahead of me. To catch up, to live for a moment in unison with it, that was the miracle. Age does not protect you from love. But ...

The walking trail in the township is full of bushes and most of them you encounter chameleons or dogs which jump out at the wrong time. I saw this kid walking and he suddenly shrieked as a chameleon jumped to the other bush. His classmates had a hearty laugh while he was all red. I thought I could share some of the embarrassing moments here in my TT :) You get into a dress thats too tight and be unable to get out and you are all alone at home You try a ring and it gets stuck into the finger in the shop Your trouser button suddenly breaks :( and you are entering into the presentation standing at the limelight You sneeze the gooey into your food plate You make an excuse pretending to be sick for not attending a party and the host is standing right in front of you You offer to pay the bill and realize that you don't have any money You walk out properly dressed in well heeled sandals and suddenly trip and fall You open the bottle of cold drinks and accidentally the soda splash...

I recently read this book by Andrew Harvey - One last mirror. One of amazing books...some quotes here which really touched me... There is nothing ordinary about life. We live in a field of great powers, extraordinary choices. Everything depends on what we think is at stake in life.  All my life I have done nothing but defend myself, explain myself, veil myself. I have nothing in my past to comfort me, nothing to feel proud of, no work to look back on with self-respect. I am afraid to look at myself. I shall come back on my own free will. I will never promise anything to you. There must be no promises between us. We do not need them.  Dont you want to love and be loved? Dont you want to find someone you can give yourself to and be received by? One thing that I understood about myself and my life - that I will destroy myself and everyone I love and who loves me If I live. The wicked do not live. They exist in a state of death; what they call life is a series of deaths. ...

Its been raining here....raining and just raining...so me thought might as well share some quotes...so its raining quotes here... The best thing one can do when it's raining is to let it rain. - Henry Wadsworth Longfellow I love walking in the rain, 'cause then no-one knows I'm crying. - Unknown Criticism, like rain, should be gentle enough to nourish a man's growth without destroying his roots. - Frank Howard Clark Weather is a great metaphor for life - sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad, and there's nothing much you can do about it but carry an umbrella.- Pepper Giardino Anyone who says sunshine brings happiness has never danced in the rain. - Author Unknown Some people walk in the rain, others just get wet. - Roger Miller A rainy day is the perfect time for a walk in the woods. - Rachel Carson It is best to read the weather forecast before praying for rain. - Mark Twain Rain showers my spirit and waters my soul. - Emily Logan Decens The way I see...

I read the book Man's Search for Meaning and found these inspiring quotes to share. Life is not primarily a quest for pleasure as Freud believed, or a quest for power, as Alfred Adler taught, but a quest for meaning and here are the quotes: We can discover meaning in life in three different ways: (1) by creating a work or doing a deed; (2) by experiencing a something or encountering someone; and (3) by the attitude we take toward unavoidable suffering. Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances, to choose one's own way. No man should judge unless he asks himself in absolute honesty whether in a similar situation he might not have done the same. Nietzsche's words, 'He who has a why to live can bear with almost any how .' Nietzsche's words,'That which does not kill me, makes me stronger.' No one has the right to do wrong even if the wrong has been done to ...

This one is going to be an update on my 101 in 1001 ... Getting wet in the rains was fun till the time I was getting wet but once it stopped pouring it was no fun being soaked and feeling cold :( Walk wherever I go, I tried this one and I thought that I may not be able to do the entire walk but surprisingly did this pretty well. The walk took about 3 hours ( a little more) but I didn't go very far from home. To keep my energy levels, I had Cold Coffee, Sweet Corn and juice and by the time I returned I felt that I was so full that I could hardly walk. I am on with my 7 days 7 books....its pretty tiring, but very stimulating and am happy when I get to finish the books. I am combining short stories, fiction, educational, biographies and so its fun. I have started with my Thank You list also. There are so many different ways to speak the same word in different languages that its getting difficult for me to recall all of them. So I am trying to find ways to recall them. I have stuck the...

Some Quotes on what I am best at :) Laziness is nothing more than the habit of resting before you get tired. - Jules Renard I like the word "indolence." It makes my laziness seem classy. - Bern Williams All of the biggest technological inventions created by man - the airplane, the automobile, the computer - says little about his intelligence, but speaks volumes about his laziness . - Mark Kennedy Efficiency is intelligent laziness . - David Dunham Some folks can look so busy doing nothin' that they seem indispensable. - Kin Hubbard Failure is not our only punishment for laziness: there is also the success of others. - Jules Renard Ambition is a poor excuse for not having sense enough to be lazy. - Edgar Bergen Laziness travels so slowly that poverty soon overtakes him. - Benjamin Franklin You can't imagine what a pleasure this complete laziness is to me: not a thought in my brain- you might send a ball rolling through it! - Leo Tolstoy Whenever there is a hard job t...

I love The Stupendous Man!! Did you guess it? Well yes, its the famous quotes of Calvin :) Reality continues to ruin my life. A little rudeness and disrespect can elevate a meaningless interaction to a battle of wills and add drama to an otherwise dull day. Weekends don't count unless you spend them doing something completely pointless. Life's disappointments are harder to take when you don't know any swear words. Its no use! Everybody gets good enemies except me. What's the point of wearing your favorite rocketship underpants if nobody ever asks to see 'em? As a math atheist, I should be excused from this. This one's tricky. You have to use imaginary numbers, like eleventeen ... I'm learning real skills that I can apply throughout the rest of my life ... Procrastinating and rationalizing. I have a hammer! I can put things together! I can knock things apart! I can alter my environment at will and make an incredible din all the while! Ah, it's great to b...
