Placing Friends

Friends with benefits and friends of convenience is the norm of the day. Gone are the times when friends were friends. Though some stronger bonds exist but not that prevalent. The bonds built on understanding, love, warmth all are gone. People will be all drooling over you especially your work mates but once you leave nobody knows you. Why because they don't need you anymore. You cannot get them promotion, you cannot help them with their work you are now useless for them. The weekends when they crowded your place is gone. Now they crowd somewhere else. Because I stay in your neighborhood I am your friend, when you go away I don't care. You are a contact on my whatsapp group where I share just forwards. Proximity defines friendship....distance depletes the friendship. What will you accomplish by building network of friends for benefits / friends of convenience? If someone knows the answer let me know for I fail miserably to build this shallow form of friendships. They are...

Thanks to you Friend

Yes sometimes life gifts you with a friend for life. Just embrace the friendship. Don't loose or give up on the opportunity. Thanks to NV I feel like there are people who are worth trusting around in the world. They do exist. I will try to be a good friend but my scarred past lets me down each time.....but maybe this time it wont. Here's cheers to our friendship for life. And a prayer for you: May you get the best in life, work, and life!!! The drive passst :) on the steep roads.....someone by your side to share your moments of life....someone who cares for you like you care for others..... The walk on the beaches :) Or the climb atop the mountains....may you live life to the fullest and be with the best of friends, family, and love... May you have blessings showered from all around. May friends stand by you. May you get the best form of love. Amen to all this and more.... Thanks for being a friend!!!

Home Food

Yes finally I had home cooked meal - first of this year :) And that too a 3 course meal :) Thank N and M for the sumptuous lunch and dinner. And then I had a blast over the weekend with the S family :) Aal is Well!!!

Princess Birthday Party

I had the best visit to a party. My little darling became a BIG gal. She turned 5 - thats BIG. So she wanted a BIG cake, BIG party. As usual I had difficulty trying to reach the venue thanks to the Auto fellas...and after a good half hour wait, I found one willing to take me. Reached there and little darling gave me the best gift ever - she ran out of the room to meet me and gave a flying hug. She was most excited. She looked a little princess in her baby pink frock. Her baby brother also in his jibbersish welcomed me and immediately put me at task asking me to locate his baloon. We both played till late night with his baloon. I had difficulty in locating gifts for her too and then found some baby bangles which were OK types not very good ones. But when she opened the packet she exclaimed "So SWEET!!". She was thrilled with those small gift. Party over for now and back to work. :)

Fishy Business

Its sad....I recently got the aquarium as a gift and now Hasi has already died :( Hasi was the one always creating havoc...it uprooted the plants and chased Khushi all around...It used to push Khushi at a corner and not even let it come out to eat the food :( Last week when I entered my home there was a commotion going on and loads of leaves were scattered, this time some of them were nibbled also and they were darting around the aquarium with Hasi at the tail of Khushi. I had it enough and scolded them and asked them to stop everything right then...And in reply they stopped but then by late night Hasi had gone to a corner, I thought it might be sulking... anyways for a couple of days Hasi didn't move much from the corner and today morning didn't even eat the food otherwise its the first one to eat...:( When I came back now, I found it dead :( I am sorry Hasi...may the soul of Hasi rest in peace!

With Hasi and Khushi

Some quotes I collected...A tribute to the best person in the world - "Friend" True friends are a reward, leaving them is the penalty of life. - Faryal Khan Kharal True friendship comes when the silence between two people is comfortable. - D.T. Gentry True wealth can only be found in those you call friend. Those with whom you share your deepest feelings. And those who accept you for who you really are. - Mary Vandergrift A friend is the person who knows all about you and still loves you. - Elbert Hubbert A friend knows the song in my heart and sings it to me when my memory fails. - Donna Roberts A friend is someone who is there for you when he'd rather be anywhere else. - Len Wein A friend is someone who gives you total freedom to be yourself-and especially to feel, or not feel. Whatever you happen to be feeling at any moment is fine with them. That's what real love amounts to - letting a person be what he really is. - Jim Morrison A true friend is one soul divided in...

Monsoon Track

Image
Chindiya Adventure Presents Monsoon Track (Oops its Trek!!) Once again the gang of 6 leave early (very early) out of the warm blankets to be close to nature. Half sleepily we pile ourselves along with our bags into a Scorpio. But we never regret leaving the confines of comfort. We are cheered by the green expanse , cloud laden mountains, and placid waters! It was almost drizzling all along the route and for once rain didn’t dampen our spirits. Our first stop - Dhabha for hot Aloo Parathas and Tea. Refreshed we sped further towards our destination. Well we selected Malshej Ghats, 130 KMs, a paradise surrounded by mint green mountains with cascading waterfalls. Its nature at its best. And the best time to visit the place is, you guessed it right August and September and how can we choose any other time. Well before we reached Malshej, we stopped over at Narayangaon - famous for its vineyards. The wine shop in itself is beautiful with a décor to watch for. After that we headed to Malshej...

Friends - Free my ends!!

Staring at the heavenly bodies I thought about you all - my friends...I don't know how lucky I am in life to get such cool friends, though I try to be a good friend I have the best friends. I know no one will get offended if I mention them in any order but I thought I would stick to the alphabetical order. "Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born.” - Anais Nin AS - He can make me smile and even laugh anytime. Uncle, aunt and brothers and sisters makes me feel like I am a family...I have never enjoyed any wedding like his...and of course now me have AS as a good friend and new baby too...I have a home where I can anytime gatecrash and stay there as long as I want to and of course I dont need any invitation!! CM - the kiddo who sometimes speaks like a dadi amma...I have had loads of fun filled weekends when she had stayed with me and the lovely time at Blore too...Everytime we call...

I had a bad dream :(

She had just stepped out off teens when I last met her…fun filled gal...she had this vitality thrown in everything she did…knew exactly what she wanted even though she still let her heart rule her mind…it was so easy to fall in love with her… Suddenly everything changed…and I met her again she sat there quietly sipping the coffee, holding the cup with both her hands and I sat opposite peering at her face trying to search for the one I knew...she was aware of my stare and would look up and simply smile... I was searching in vain for the gal I knew…she was nowhere there…a stranger stood in front of me…there was nothing in common with her and the person I last met except for the faintest familiarity in the way they smiled...she had transformed into the complete opposite of what she was…what happened that changed her...why did she change...I kept thinking about it...I didnt have the courage to ask her what happened...I dont know why but her eyes just pleaded with me - I know what you want...

Junglee-Toofan-Tyre-Tube-Puncture

These are the names of the Chindiya Club members (you haven't heard about them?? :D) Now this is a learning. 2 gang members were supposed to give us a grand feast and these people simply packed their bags and left for camping....Smart move I say!!! Ok the the fab five pick up their kali ghoodis and of course the tent....its just not a tent its THE TENT (will upload the pic of the tent soon) and went camping....it was sans any excitement ;)...only excitement was the breakdown of one of the bikes, taking a detour, finally reaching the camping site, installing the tent and then on the return journey - the tyre sorry tube getting punctured, losing of the screw head of the tyre, and of course the search for the food...in their words for a journey of 4 hours we took just 9 hours :D But I wouldnt be surprised if they would have thoroughly enjoyed inspite of all this excitement ;-) Thats the spirit of Chindiya Gang. Even the gals were not left out...me and A chilled out, poor P had office ...

How happy can one be?

Well I am happy....very happy, excited, thrilled, now I can even understand the phrase "my joy knows no bounds", Happiness unlimited :D... ok now lemme spill the beans... Now one more thing I would like to share that some researchers have proved that to erase 1 negative experience in life you need 5 positive experiences now I guess the researchers didnt particularly take into account my one positive experience which gonna erase all 5 negative ones :D OK Ok me on with it... Oh I just remembered one more thing...I had this classmate of mine...we met in Std 9 - new joinees to school and that common thread bond us together...and then we were together till our graduation term...7 years of togetherness and then we moved to different college but were in touch and then suddenly life changes and you get busy in different things and lost of touch of each other...now thats one of the negative experiences that I shared anyways on with the story... Ok do you all know I lost my ce...

Confessions

I met this gal sitting by herself in the park bench...She is from my library but only a familiar face nothing more than that. I am still nursing by bad cold and didnt feel like doing anything better...actually wanted to talk to someone and so went and sat next to her. We exchanged smiles and then started a conversation. I was surprised by myself for I can never start a conversation with anyone in my class forget strangers. I want the other person to always start. And here I was sitting next to this stranger and chatting. She went on sharing with me many things which I felt she has never shared with anyone else...And sharing with a complete stranger helped her coz one doesn't have to worry about being judged. I don't know her name and don't even want to know but sitting there and listening her talk made me realise how much void, pain and anger we carry within ourselves. She had this mixed emotions of anger, frustration, boredom, betrayal, cheated, used and left...She talke...

Sunny Day

It was a wonderful Sunday :D Me got a chance to visit NDA Yippee!! For all those who don't know only a privileged few can visit the place and also get the royal treatment as we did :D We a group of 10 (my classmates from B-school) bundled into 2 cars reached NDA around 11ish. (Although had planned to reach much earlier and .... better me not tell all what happened - the usual delays, last minute cancellations, last minute joiners...) On with what we did at NDA. Now a little bit about the place, NDA is located at Khadakvasla, picturesque location occupying somewhere close to 8000 acres of land! Imagine the huge place. All green and silent settled far away from the hustle bustle of the city but replete with all the amenities - a complete self-sustained township. I wont be giving too much details about the buildings or places but will restrict to what we did. I would have loved to describe the buildings there but I am not too sure whether I can. If you want you can visit and read from...

Friends!!

Sunday morning and this article ....While reading, I wondered whether Friendships comes with an expiry date? Is there nothing as such called as eternal friendship. Hmmm...lemme go back and see my own sets of friends...I have travelled to loads of places and lost and found loads of friends. Some I lost, because we moved ( changed the city, school, or the job) and became too lazy to write or talk to each other. And then they all got settled and got tied up with their family affairs. And we moved on all got our new sets of friends. If a man does not make new acquaintances as he advances through life, he will soon find himself alone. A man should keep his friendships in constant repair. by Samuel Johnson With a couple of friends, I had fall outs because of some reasons and we simply parted ways. It was the best thing to do, I guess because neither of us were willing to accept their faults nor forgive each other. Friendships leave a bitter taste and do have an expiry Tag!! But thankfully, I...

Train Return Journey

Sorry for posting this late... As all good things have to come to an end, the party time @ the wedding ended...we all parted ways and started the journey back home. Oh as soon as I boarded the train, I dreaded the thought of starting office again. Anyways - I had the company of 3 more friends. Our seats were distributed in 2 coaches but by late evening we finally convinced a fella to exchange the seat. Now this fella was a strange man. He had just a small bag and was alone. We requested him to exchange seats but he was reluctant. Every time one of us approached him to ask him if he has made up his mind, he would ask which coach? Which berth, lower / upper? - we gave him the same answers again and again. Now what prompted him to make up his mind is still unknown. But anyways thanks to him. The 24 hours journey we spent in fun. We all were in the same coach and so used to sleep by turns, one of us used to get the top berth and the rest share the lower berth...we had 2 iPods - one Apple ...

Monsoon Wedding

I was warned by my mom that it would be extremely hot there...but surprisingly it was cool there :-D The weather was amazing. It drizzled and the place had the hill station ambiance. People were little anxious that it might rain and spoil the arrangement but nothing of that sort happened. We have a saying that if you eat food directly from the Karahi (its something like a wok) then it rains during your wedding. It turned out that my friend had eaten out off the karahi but our dear sweet pretty bride didn't and that saved the day. Ok Ok Mr. OLD , both of you saved the day :-D. Go and drink your Appy and be Happy :-P After the wedding ended the next day and that too late in the night it poured heavily when everything was done with. Thank you weather God for not being a spoilsport.

Me back

Me back after a loooong break...went to attend a friend's wedding :-D...from tomorrow the posts will be flooded with the journey and wedding events :-P

Window Wave

Have you seen a kid waving out of the window....the head pops out...there is a big grin...and hands that sways from one side to the other as fast as it can... well yesterday, you could have spotted me and would have found me fitting the description... Me was as usual sitting in the 5:30 PM bus. I was trying to open the window when one of my friend passed by, I waved at him but had only a smile and waved only once. I controlled my excitement and was behaving as an adult. Then my other friend was about to pass in her cab, and you could see me with my head stuck in between the rods, waving, sporting that big grin :-D. Now this gal sitting next to me was giggling and I am sure she was laughing watching me. I quietly settled at my seat, fiddled with my bag and then closed my eyes pretending to fall asleep. After 15 minutes, we were stuck in traffic, coz the roads were blocked for some unknown reasons. Now I saw this other route bus standing next to us. And I spotted, my friend sitting ther...
