14th TT

26 Th March was the poet - Robert Frost's Birthday. He is my all time favorite with his poem "The Road Not Taken" as my anthem. So, I thought why not share few of his quotes... The world is full of willing people; some willing to work, the rest willing to let them. A civilized society is one which tolerates eccentricity to the point of doubtful sanity. A diplomat is a man who always remembers a woman's birthday but never remembers her age. A mother takes twenty years to make a man of her boy, and another woman makes a fool of him in twenty minutes. By working faithfully eight hours a day you may eventually get to be boss and work twelve hours a day. College is a refuge from hasty judgment. Education doesn't change life much. It just lifts trouble to a higher plane of regard. Forgive me my nonsense, as I also forgive the nonsense of those that think they talk sense. Half the world is composed of people who have something to say and can't, and the other half wh...

Reminiscing the dreams

Reliving the moments through the misty eyes after laughter or sobs Stirring the pain and suppressing the happiness Mocking the thoughts of affection and respecting the feeling of revulsion Hearing the silence that perturbs the heart and calms the mind Sensing the fear within, the terror of acceptance and denial Listening to the squeals of delight and the shrieks of agony Feeling the warmth and love of friendships and sores and scabs of broken trusts Is it a walk down the memory lane or a leap to the future? Or is it simply a pat on the past or a hug to the dream? Daring to fly higher or lower with or without wings Rehearsing the responses to the fate and beckoning destiny with open arms Longing to forego whats happened and yearning to embrace whats coming Flight, fright, and fight – is that how to live in present

Testing Times

Today was our internals...50% of our syllabus to be covered in this test. This test was postponed because of the festivities and so I too postponed studying. Finally when the test came knocking, I started to study but how come in the eleventh hour I could even touch beyond 1 chapter. :D Anyways went to the college, reached and found all the people echoing my feelings. Tried to request the Prof if he could postponed it to Thursday and then we would all willingly appear for both the tests. (There is another Thursday too :(....) But he refused. Anyways he gave us half hour to prepare for the test. And surprisingly I started to study very seriously. It helped. I could actually solve a few questions. Now today's test we actually cheated. Although sadly, no one told me any answers. I showed all the answers to the gal behind me and the one to the right off me. The gal behind actually had the guts to ask me to spell the words as she couldnt make out my handwriting. :D There were a few que...

Mooning!!

Gazing at a starlit sky can be so mesmerizing but what is it to gaze at starless sky with only the Moon? My quest was answered... Sometimes aimless wanderings can result to…Mooning!! Here I was sitting under the watchful eyes of this beautiful heavenly body and enjoying a night atop a hillock. To add to the ambiance , it had just rained and the weather was awesome. It was as if the rain had not only washed only the dirt around but also from within. Wondering why the clouds covered the entire sky but left just the Moon - full moon just a day gone by but still was in its best attire - the yellowish creamish colored round ball. Every time the cloud tried to come close and touch, the Moon would push them aside. Watching this game of Moon and the clouds, there I sat looking at the city below twinkling like the stars. The stars had fallen and lit the city limits and in the starless sky, while the Moon shone in its new found glory. Marvelous and yet another mesmerizing sight.

Movie Night

Laga Chunari Mein Daag - Why did I pick up this movie...well it had Konkana Sen, Jaya Bachan and I thought probably it would be worth. Sadly it was a slow boring film even though the film talked about how Destitute leads to Prostitute. But it had Kunal Kapoor - the saving grace of the film and I enjoyed his role in the movie. Do watch it if you are Kunal Kapoor fan. :D Sunday - Now this was a fun filled nonsense film. Laugh away to glory - thats what one could do. Remember I thought it was Friday on Thursday and the other day when I nearly missed the BDay celebrations thinking it was to be held the next day. Well P suggested me if I am like this, I should watch this movie. So, I picked this movie and it was fun. The ice cream welding Ajay Devgan playing the cop who didnt mind accepting bribes and that too in style. The one liners were too good. Just forget your brains and w atch the movie and have a hearty laugh.

Friday Class

It was jokingly called as Amar Akbar Anthony day with Holi , ID, and Good Friday being celebrated on the same day. Even the Zorastrians had their festival on this day. So it was the entire India celebrating. Me as usual had a class...and enroute I had a glimpse of the entire festivity travelling through lanes and bylanes as most of the route were diverted. The class for a change was good. We all participated in a group test. We learned Psychometric testing. It was fun. In one of the exercises there were 3 of us and we had to select just 1 person per team, so the Prof took a coin and tossed. Before he started the guy wanted top check the coin. Prof too was at its witty best his immediate response was " Dont worry its not Sholay coin." I came out as a "ascribed" leader :D Even though the class went on and on without a break no one realised it was time to dismiss the class. Looking forward to more of such classes.

Happy Sightings...

The 4th post in a day...whats the matter...:D Suddenly the soaring temperatures have come down and I am surprised have a pleasant evening in store...to add to it no classes :D Test postponed and life chills. :D Ok So I take a break once again, go and fix some nice snacks and stand at the window and relish the toast and the view. There is this old couple, not that old,...sitting comfortably in the bench. The man reading his book and the lady next to him sitting and watching the playful puppy. Not one but actually there were 2 sweet puppies. One of them pulled the lady's shirt :D She immediately got up and eyed here and there and found a second puppy crouched under the bench. :D The man smiled and then went back to his book. They sat there. A kid, 3 year old, he came to the park, to pick his ball and saw the puppy and first called out for the puppy to join him and when the puppy actually followed him out off the park he shrieked - "MOMMA" :D The puppy anyways wagged its tai...

Some ppl never change...

Now this guy, he buys old newspapers...I called him yesterday and he arrived today after a reminder...I have been disposing off the newspapers to him for a long time now and he pays me @ 5 per Kg of old newspaper. My neighbour had told me that the rate is 6 or 7, why do you pay less. :( Ok so I decided I am gonna make him pay me the right amount. When he arrived, I brought up the subject to him, to which he responded, Ya, ok you want @6, I will give you. :! I was happy but apprehensive how did he agree so soon. He was smart, he weighed incorrectly, generally its around 10 Kgs and this time he simply said its 6 Kg. Talk about cheating!!! I told him again why are you cheating, he said...I am giving you @ 6. What the hell!! Why does he have to cheat?? Anyways some things and some people can never change.

Patient Listening!

You remember Mr. Bookie he is the best!!! Attending his classes and sitting through the 2 hour without a break is what I should say "Volition". See he is teaching us patience....sit through his class and now I can sit through any rubbish any boring movie or any book or for that matter any boring ppl too....this is the learning...I cant believe I am doing all this for the attendance...:( what happened to the me....who used to walk out of the places that I didnt like...anyways I guess deep down I like his class...This time I watched his hands...and you know they were so graceful...it reminded me of some dance steps...the way his hands and eyes moved when he was talking and talking...I was already mesmerized and I forgot that I am sitting in a class where everything the Prof speaks seems to OHT (Duh!! ppl it means = Over Head Transmission). I dont mind attending his class. Ok on with our statistics of the word "Paradigm" well sadly he used it only 16 times today...sad ...

Munday pleazzze end!!

Monday doesnt seem to end...it seems to stick on with Tuesday...I dont know how to manage things today....feeling overwhelmed with work and everything and anything and nothing in particular....lost!!! :( The summer heat has already letting out the Mr Hyde from within...and I am turning into the fiery dragon...Oh I wish this summers would end and bring in the rains...but do I love rains?? I just opened this mail today and my friend sent me today's quote - "Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnight." I read till here and immediately the satanic mind of mine gave that devilish grin and wondered how long it for mid night to arrive :D I cant wait for my client oops how can I even think in this manner....clear your thoughts they are the ones who help you with the money, the hard notes that help you be online, blog you know....ok clear the thoughts...read the entire quote... "Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they wer...

Monday's Back!!!!

Week has ended and here comes the dreadful Monday - "I-must-start-working-today"...Munday, I mean :( I hate them as much as Garfield hates them...and the worse part is it comes earlier and lasts longer than any day of the week :( While I was still trying to get myself out of the bed...I thought wouldnt be wonderful, to wake up on a Monday morning and find that I have no work, absolutely nothing needs to be done, and I can get back under covers till I want :D Ok now enough of dreaming...lemme get back to work...no escaping :! To add to the woes today's class - My Saturday Prof - Mr Bookie gonna be taking :( SO the day gonna end in well.

"Out of It"

Summers have come and here to stay....so shouts the sun rays that hits the eye and tans...anyways, I desperately wanted to ZZzzzz and thats the best that hot afternoons offer - a siesta any time of the day :D But it was an effort in vain, some kid, toddler was howling away to glory and kept me awake and cursing their parents....why couldnt they simply give him/her what they want...I am in need of a nap...It wasnt much help trying to stop the howls and so I got back to the book....and I thought I am the one unale to sleep when I want to....what about Simon... "Out of it" talks about a 3 year journey of a 10 year old lad and his fight against the debilitating illness..."The Story of a Boy Who Went to Bed with a Headache and Woke Up Three Years Later" A moving story of the boy and how he and his family fought and won the 3 year old battle. Simon Hattenstone, the author of this book, still works with The Guardian and his features can be read here ... Way to go!!

Just 2 average movies :!

Mumbai Salsa - Its pretty much reminds of the Friends sitcom but doesnt live up to it...Its just ok not that great. 4 couples - 4 different kind of love - different issues in their relationships - commitment, Chauvinism, feminism, extra- marital relationships, one-night stand / sit :D, break ups, heart-aches, loneliness.....blah blah but the best part of the movie was that it never took a educating mode...no moral of the story please....this is life, live it with a pinch of salt or no salt. Nanhe Jaisalmer - Imaginary friends - thats the theme....but doesnt work here...at times the movie has few good moments but its just that... A weekend with just 2 movies....I am certainly losing my way...:( Ahah thats what happens when a working professional, student, budding entrepreneur clash :D

Ups and Downs

Early morning dragged myself out of the bed...sat at the computer for the call...waited and waited and the call didnt happen. :( In the mean time, I had enough time to finish the TT . :) I didnt know what to do, whether should I start with another work or wait for the call to happen? :( In between this confusion, I cooked myself a good meal. Everytime I used to enter the kitchen and say - OK lemme see whats here, lemme cook this, it will be quick. :) It was extremely hot in here as if Summers have made an early entry, and I was wondering how will go for my classes :( My friend (Welcome G!!!) called and sent the pleasant weather -- After all Rain was just a call away :) I was busy reading the book and got delayed, I hope that I am on time for the class today :( I got a comfortable ride to the college and reached there right on time :) I thought today was Friday ( dont even ask me Y) and on reaching college I found it was Thursday and I didnt carry the handouts of the Thursday class...

13th TT

If I ask myself....why TT...I can list 13 points or even more....but at times the "Ys" are unanswered... Y does the alarm rings just when I want to sleep a little more Y do I find more red light stops on the road when in hurry and none when I want to travel at leisure Y does my meetings get cancelled when I am prepared and it happens when I am unprepared Y does my class starts late when I am early and early when I am late Y do I have to eat and cook food everyday and that too twice or thrice in a day....I mean y am I hungry so often Y dont people ping me or are available when I wanna talk / chat but ping me when I am in a meeting or have my hands full Same thing....Y do people call me when I am in a meeting and not when I am sitting idle Y does time fly away when I am watching a movie or doing something which I wanna and move towards the time when I have to go for my college or meeting Y do I have to do laundry and iron my clothes... Y cant they come out of the machine all ir...

Phew!!! Volition I say!!!

Ok today's prof, if you remember I prefer calling him Mr. Bookie and he is simply ultimate....I have already shared a few things about him, but today I spent a lot of time studying him :) I cant help it attendance is mandatory and sleeping in class is not permitted - talking about torture...so today I sat through his class...actually I have been doing the same for all his classes...( Pls dont tell him that:D) He is 64 year old... thats what I was told...but he looks no more than 50!! He is so active that he walks to our class right on dot 6:44 PM and takes the marker and writes the name of the topic of discussion on the white board and off he starts at 6:45 PM. When he speaks, we can actually see the nerves of his neck....they stretch...maybe its the laryngeal nerves that are visible...every time he opens his mouth the nerves stretch and out comes his voice and then sometimes he ends his sentence - mostly facts with a grin sometimes "U" and sometimes as "inverted...

Dus Kahaniya...

Experimenting with creativity, innovation seem to be the norm these days…and it’s a welcome change from the routine movies we watch… Its like for a change from reading novels of Jeffrey Archer to short stories the likes of A Quiver Full of Arrows…the same has been tried and tested in this movie…its 10 independent plots sewn together and presented in a single movie. Awesome…10 stories…woven with a common theme of human relationships… The story begins with… Story 1 - Matrimony This story although an adapted or say inspired version from Roald Dahl …. But it makes you settle and sit tight in the seat….wanting for more treats….ready for the unexpected twists and turns… Story 2 - High on the highway But not all stories live upto expectation…like this one…I couldn ’t understand why it was part of the ensemble Story 3 – Pooranmashi This ones keeps one hooked because of the splendid performance by Amrita Singh….a mother – daughter relationship…touching indeed and leaves a bitter sweet afte...

Chain of Reminders

The growling noises from my tummy reminds me that I am hungry and so I have to eat...and that reminds me that I have to cook first....and that I have to buy grocery....or I can simply go to an eatery and order food...but for anything I have to go out....that I have to get dressed....either I have to iron my clothes or I have to do my laundry...then take a bath or dry clean my self depending on the time or my mood and most importantly on the decibels of the tummy noises...or place an order for take away...for that I have to first decide on the food that I wish to eat and then locate the phone number which I will never find...finally if I decide to go out...have to take an auto...for that walk till the auto stand and then wait for....at that very time the city will be hit by a sudden dearth of autos and buses in fact all forms of transportation...OK I need to buy a car...and so I need to save money...for that I have to cut down eating out and start cooking at home...so I come back buying...

I had a bad dream :(

She had just stepped out off teens when I last met her…fun filled gal...she had this vitality thrown in everything she did…knew exactly what she wanted even though she still let her heart rule her mind…it was so easy to fall in love with her… Suddenly everything changed…and I met her again she sat there quietly sipping the coffee, holding the cup with both her hands and I sat opposite peering at her face trying to search for the one I knew...she was aware of my stare and would look up and simply smile... I was searching in vain for the gal I knew…she was nowhere there…a stranger stood in front of me…there was nothing in common with her and the person I last met except for the faintest familiarity in the way they smiled...she had transformed into the complete opposite of what she was…what happened that changed her...why did she change...I kept thinking about it...I didnt have the courage to ask her what happened...I dont know why but her eyes just pleaded with me - I know what you want...

But me technologically challenged dont know how to download the pic from camera and upload it online :(

Work n Play

After a long time....in fact pretty long time, I was at home during evening...working though...no classes...bunked classes :D actually I tried to break the monotony of attending classes everyday!! I was busy working n working and suddenly I heard shouts of cheer below my window, curious I went to take a peek and I saw this group of kids playing football...GOAL!!! I wondered how come so many kids are playing today, maybe there must a holiday tomorrow...HOLIDAY thats all what comes to my mind...and then I realised maybe they do it daily...its just that I am attending college every evening :( and today am at home... I took a welcome break from my work...fixed myself a snacky feast and stood at the balcony watching football...GOAL....:D I really need breaks of this sort...so maybe I need to bunk more classes or maybe do more work :D Now that I am in a mood for a break....I decided to update the blog :D Need to get back to the work but maybe later :D
