Day 04: Writing the story or …

We met today and discussed the story that we wrote on our field visit...it was an interesting session where each one narrated what they are gonna write and what not. So we gonna be re writing our pieces...trying at least :)

Day 03: Living the story

The field visit was awesome....I enjoyed every bit of it...the riot of colors - fruits and vegetable market. :) Now back to class...and there was none :( So back home and prepare the writeup for the next class...:(

Day 02: Looking for that story

So our Day 02 started with a Pune Mirror news reporter attending our session followed by his camera man. So media has smelled the class... hmm ! Ok on with our class, we sat around in a circle with each one of us, who took the challenge, to read their own Traumatic Event....the homework we did. The lady there started to narrate a very touching and moving tale about love lost or lost love. She felt so deeply for it that she broke down in between. Now thats why we were warned that if we wanted someone else could read it for us. Anyways, she read and then another lady narrated a blank verse - which was extremely moving. The next read a story and she too broke down narrating it. Then came the chance of this guy, and hats off to him, his candor was what swept us away. Even though maybe his English was not that strong but the hard truth kept us hooked. Bravo! For a while we discussed each person's story and the impact it had on the readers the style and the tone. After this heavy sto...

Day 01: The Stories I know

"Ok so why am I attending this session?", is the question I kept asking myself. Why can't I simply sit and continue with my other tasks needing attention - house hunting, projects hunting...anyways I am the way I am...so off I went to this session in the quest to learn something new. It wasn't the story writing craft was that I was interested in but was looking forward to look into how the workshop was designed- the curricula, the materials, the actual presentation and all. I gonna be forever an ID. Anyways on with day... I am not gonna vocalize my feelings about whether I liked or enjoyed the day. I am just gonna stick to what happened. So we enter and get to know each other, the trainer, and then continue with the chatter. It feels we are going no where and I thought maybe we gonna begin now when we had already begun. We started with the poem Jack and Jill and analyzed the poem and continued to build the story further. We found that Jack and Jill were yuppie - urban...

Testing Times

Today was our internals...50% of our syllabus to be covered in this test. This test was postponed because of the festivities and so I too postponed studying. Finally when the test came knocking, I started to study but how come in the eleventh hour I could even touch beyond 1 chapter. :D Anyways went to the college, reached and found all the people echoing my feelings. Tried to request the Prof if he could postponed it to Thursday and then we would all willingly appear for both the tests. (There is another Thursday too :(....) But he refused. Anyways he gave us half hour to prepare for the test. And surprisingly I started to study very seriously. It helped. I could actually solve a few questions. Now today's test we actually cheated. Although sadly, no one told me any answers. I showed all the answers to the gal behind me and the one to the right off me. The gal behind actually had the guts to ask me to spell the words as she couldnt make out my handwriting. :D There were a few que...

Friday Class

It was jokingly called as Amar Akbar Anthony day with Holi , ID, and Good Friday being celebrated on the same day. Even the Zorastrians had their festival on this day. So it was the entire India celebrating. Me as usual had a class...and enroute I had a glimpse of the entire festivity travelling through lanes and bylanes as most of the route were diverted. The class for a change was good. We all participated in a group test. We learned Psychometric testing. It was fun. In one of the exercises there were 3 of us and we had to select just 1 person per team, so the Prof took a coin and tossed. Before he started the guy wanted top check the coin. Prof too was at its witty best his immediate response was " Dont worry its not Sholay coin." I came out as a "ascribed" leader :D Even though the class went on and on without a break no one realised it was time to dismiss the class. Looking forward to more of such classes.

Patient Listening!

You remember Mr. Bookie he is the best!!! Attending his classes and sitting through the 2 hour without a break is what I should say "Volition". See he is teaching us patience....sit through his class and now I can sit through any rubbish any boring movie or any book or for that matter any boring ppl too....this is the learning...I cant believe I am doing all this for the attendance...:( what happened to the me....who used to walk out of the places that I didnt like...anyways I guess deep down I like his class...This time I watched his hands...and you know they were so graceful...it reminded me of some dance steps...the way his hands and eyes moved when he was talking and talking...I was already mesmerized and I forgot that I am sitting in a class where everything the Prof speaks seems to OHT (Duh!! ppl it means = Over Head Transmission). I dont mind attending his class. Ok on with our statistics of the word "Paradigm" well sadly he used it only 16 times today...sad ...

Munday pleazzze end!!

Monday doesnt seem to end...it seems to stick on with Tuesday...I dont know how to manage things today....feeling overwhelmed with work and everything and anything and nothing in particular....lost!!! :( The summer heat has already letting out the Mr Hyde from within...and I am turning into the fiery dragon...Oh I wish this summers would end and bring in the rains...but do I love rains?? I just opened this mail today and my friend sent me today's quote - "Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they were going to be dead by midnight." I read till here and immediately the satanic mind of mine gave that devilish grin and wondered how long it for mid night to arrive :D I cant wait for my client oops how can I even think in this manner....clear your thoughts they are the ones who help you with the money, the hard notes that help you be online, blog you know....ok clear the thoughts...read the entire quote... "Beginning today, treat everyone you meet as if they wer...

Ups and Downs

Early morning dragged myself out of the bed...sat at the computer for the call...waited and waited and the call didnt happen. :( In the mean time, I had enough time to finish the TT . :) I didnt know what to do, whether should I start with another work or wait for the call to happen? :( In between this confusion, I cooked myself a good meal. Everytime I used to enter the kitchen and say - OK lemme see whats here, lemme cook this, it will be quick. :) It was extremely hot in here as if Summers have made an early entry, and I was wondering how will go for my classes :( My friend (Welcome G!!!) called and sent the pleasant weather -- After all Rain was just a call away :) I was busy reading the book and got delayed, I hope that I am on time for the class today :( I got a comfortable ride to the college and reached there right on time :) I thought today was Friday ( dont even ask me Y) and on reaching college I found it was Thursday and I didnt carry the handouts of the Thursday class...

Phew!!! Volition I say!!!

Ok today's prof, if you remember I prefer calling him Mr. Bookie and he is simply ultimate....I have already shared a few things about him, but today I spent a lot of time studying him :) I cant help it attendance is mandatory and sleeping in class is not permitted - talking about torture...so today I sat through his class...actually I have been doing the same for all his classes...( Pls dont tell him that:D) He is 64 year old... thats what I was told...but he looks no more than 50!! He is so active that he walks to our class right on dot 6:44 PM and takes the marker and writes the name of the topic of discussion on the white board and off he starts at 6:45 PM. When he speaks, we can actually see the nerves of his neck....they stretch...maybe its the laryngeal nerves that are visible...every time he opens his mouth the nerves stretch and out comes his voice and then sometimes he ends his sentence - mostly facts with a grin sometimes "U" and sometimes as "inverted...

Work n Play

After a long time....in fact pretty long time, I was at home during evening...working though...no classes...bunked classes :D actually I tried to break the monotony of attending classes everyday!! I was busy working n working and suddenly I heard shouts of cheer below my window, curious I went to take a peek and I saw this group of kids playing football...GOAL!!! I wondered how come so many kids are playing today, maybe there must a holiday tomorrow...HOLIDAY thats all what comes to my mind...and then I realised maybe they do it daily...its just that I am attending college every evening :( and today am at home... I took a welcome break from my work...fixed myself a snacky feast and stood at the balcony watching football...GOAL....:D I really need breaks of this sort...so maybe I need to bunk more classes or maybe do more work :D Now that I am in a mood for a break....I decided to update the blog :D Need to get back to the work but maybe later :D

What a Class!!!!!

I still don't understand what fun the management derives out of troubling us. Today the college had a fest and fest means loud music and a fashion show. Imagine we people travel after office hours all the way to the campus and are subjected to all this. Not fair. But nothings' fair in here except for the maidens who walked the ramp :D Our luck, the Prof Mr. Bookie Oh man he has really reached the transcendental state...volition...he asked us to stay committed and omit the noise of the surroundings and continue with the class...in fact blaring music that made the panes shudder and this guy tells us to ignore them!!! He in fact carried on unperturbed with his teachings...mind blowing man... hats off to him! But Sir we have yet to cross the self actualization phase and the barrier - Rubicon - to reach the transcendental stage. Don't bother if nothing made sense to you...and if it did then please also explain me - you will contribute in helping me pass this paper. Phew!! Ap...

Mid of the week!!!

Ah classes what are they supposed to be...today's Prof claims he requires no microphone to speak in front of even 1000s of people but someone please pleazze tell him to speak only a bit louder...my ears starts to pain in his class...anyways this week dont talk to me about classes...we require 60% attendance mandatory and so I attend all classes but whether physical or mental or both presence is not mentioned...So I enjoy my class!!! Already reached mid of the week and I doubt if I would be able to survive the work pressure :( Looking forward for weekend and me gonna party hard...have already planned to gate crash my friend's place :D

Another week ended!!!

Phew!! Here ends a week....and even before I realise in a few hours (in fact in just about 20 minutes) it will be Monday!!! It was a pretty hectic week...and I can forsee even the coming weeks...I am struggling to be a student, managing my hobby classes, being a home maker (???), and ofcourse my work - where my pay comes from...There was a time I thought I could do everything and did nothing and now am doing nothing and everything and finally its like I am doing nothing in everything....CONFUSED!!! Me too...In fact I am so confused that I ....forget it....I will simply go off to sleep for I need to be alert for tomorrow's meeting and ah ofcourse I remember there is a test in the class tom. BTW interestingly, I got 2 SMS from my class mates and both of them thinks - in fact are pretty sure that I have completed studying for the test :D Hello people contrary to what you thinking, In fact I did study today and I also completed the chapter. Yes I did study but its a different thing tha...

Sat..err..day...

Ah now this day's class is at its worst best...I dont know whats it with me and the Sat prof....last Sem too I didnt get along well with Sat's class Prof and the way he taught....this time too the Sat Prof and his ways....no doubt he is the most learned and intelligent man but the problem is all we do is digress and simply digress from the subject...he really loves it when we ask questions during his lecture but he has to also know when to draw a line....I sincerely do appreciate his enthusiasm, knowledge and over eagerness to answer all our questions till we are satisfied but you see we dont have to be explained about the hormones - Cortisol....and why metallic objects are not allowed near the EEG machine and...(BTW he teaches us a management subject...now you know what I am talking about his digressing and my batchmates also graciously contribute to make him digress even further) ... as usual the one who simply cant stop speaking my mind...(this I have done consequently secon...

I love holidays!!!

Today, I was lazing with a book for I had an hour before leaving for the college...and the book was so interesting that I had no intentions to move out of my house and all I wanted was to freeze the time till I finished. But things dont happen the way I want and I couldnt stop the time from ticking towards the most dreaded hour - time to leave for the class :( The alarm sounded right on dot...and I forced myself out off the bed, separated the book and myself (Torture!!), and looked towards the sky hoping for a miracle :D And voila it did happen; I got this SMS from my Graphology that the class stands cancelled because of unrest in the city. Now although I didn’t much like the reason for canceling the class - Please world peace!!! but still I was overjoyed and hoped that my college also should call it a day and my prayers were answered :D so no classes today and I can get back to my book. You know I exactly felt the same way as I used to during my school days and specially I used to be ...

Monday Class

No blues....no MUNdays....for a change the class was good...and there was a small discussion on education vs literacy....and yesterday I just realised Regionalism is more stronger than Nationalism. Apart from this there was an excellent point put forth by our Prof...why do we need able-bodied people to sit whole day and either man the lift or open the door, or guard an ATM center....either we automate these or why cant we use the services of a handicapped person instead....I mean Physically challenged person....these people will have a sense of usefulness and it will help them in their self-esteem and also give them a means to earn. Food for thought!!!

Frustating Friday!!!

We all go to attend the classes after the work...and the management just doesnt seem to understand. Tuesday, the Prof didnt turn up and our class got cancelled and we got this information after we waited for some good half hour for the Prof to come. Today again, same scenario repeated. Its so frustating to reach college in the grueling peak time traffic to find the classes not happening. Hope the Management does something about it. There's Saturday tomorrow and we gonna take a longer time wading through the peak traffic to reach college. Hope we do have classes tomorrow.

Week-ended!!

I was still living in my Tuesday and before I realized the week's ended. I don't even remember what happened in the Wednesday or Thursday or Friday or in fact today's class - Saturday. Days are simply zipping by too fast and I hardly have time for anything else and am I want more time for I have so much to do. I didnt even have time for the TT - missed it yet again. Now you can understand how busy I am. :( Today the entire day was choked with back to back engagements that I hardly had a breather. I have so many things lined up for tomorrow that I am already feeling stressed in anticipation. So I will call it off a day and take the well deserved rest! I have started to already wonder - When will the next week end?
