Midnight Maladies

Yesterday night after the general fumbling with the pillows trying hard to fall asleep, and out of the blue I remembered a few lines from "You've Got Mail" - I have here the exact lines courtesy online world...though I remembered the gist of it... "Kathleen Kelly: Sometimes I wonder about my life. I lead a small life. Well, not small, but valuable. And sometimes I wonder, do I do it because I like it, or because I haven't been brave? So much of what I see reminds me of something I read in a book, when shouldn't it be the other way around? I don't really want an answer. I just want to send this cosmic question out into the void. So good night, dear void." Ok so I do wonder about my life, why am I living, why am I sitting and thinking all this in the middle of the night...when I could be dreaming about all these questions...Well but I do really wanna know the answers...You see as it is said the logic is pitted against the mysteries hiding in the shadow...

14th TT

26 Th March was the poet - Robert Frost's Birthday. He is my all time favorite with his poem "The Road Not Taken" as my anthem. So, I thought why not share few of his quotes... The world is full of willing people; some willing to work, the rest willing to let them. A civilized society is one which tolerates eccentricity to the point of doubtful sanity. A diplomat is a man who always remembers a woman's birthday but never remembers her age. A mother takes twenty years to make a man of her boy, and another woman makes a fool of him in twenty minutes. By working faithfully eight hours a day you may eventually get to be boss and work twelve hours a day. College is a refuge from hasty judgment. Education doesn't change life much. It just lifts trouble to a higher plane of regard. Forgive me my nonsense, as I also forgive the nonsense of those that think they talk sense. Half the world is composed of people who have something to say and can't, and the other half wh...

Reminiscing the dreams

Reliving the moments through the misty eyes after laughter or sobs Stirring the pain and suppressing the happiness Mocking the thoughts of affection and respecting the feeling of revulsion Hearing the silence that perturbs the heart and calms the mind Sensing the fear within, the terror of acceptance and denial Listening to the squeals of delight and the shrieks of agony Feeling the warmth and love of friendships and sores and scabs of broken trusts Is it a walk down the memory lane or a leap to the future? Or is it simply a pat on the past or a hug to the dream? Daring to fly higher or lower with or without wings Rehearsing the responses to the fate and beckoning destiny with open arms Longing to forego whats happened and yearning to embrace whats coming Flight, fright, and fight – is that how to live in present

Testing Times

Today was our internals...50% of our syllabus to be covered in this test. This test was postponed because of the festivities and so I too postponed studying. Finally when the test came knocking, I started to study but how come in the eleventh hour I could even touch beyond 1 chapter. :D Anyways went to the college, reached and found all the people echoing my feelings. Tried to request the Prof if he could postponed it to Thursday and then we would all willingly appear for both the tests. (There is another Thursday too :(....) But he refused. Anyways he gave us half hour to prepare for the test. And surprisingly I started to study very seriously. It helped. I could actually solve a few questions. Now today's test we actually cheated. Although sadly, no one told me any answers. I showed all the answers to the gal behind me and the one to the right off me. The gal behind actually had the guts to ask me to spell the words as she couldnt make out my handwriting. :D There were a few que...

Mooning!!

Gazing at a starlit sky can be so mesmerizing but what is it to gaze at starless sky with only the Moon? My quest was answered... Sometimes aimless wanderings can result to…Mooning!! Here I was sitting under the watchful eyes of this beautiful heavenly body and enjoying a night atop a hillock. To add to the ambiance , it had just rained and the weather was awesome. It was as if the rain had not only washed only the dirt around but also from within. Wondering why the clouds covered the entire sky but left just the Moon - full moon just a day gone by but still was in its best attire - the yellowish creamish colored round ball. Every time the cloud tried to come close and touch, the Moon would push them aside. Watching this game of Moon and the clouds, there I sat looking at the city below twinkling like the stars. The stars had fallen and lit the city limits and in the starless sky, while the Moon shone in its new found glory. Marvelous and yet another mesmerizing sight.

Movie Night

Laga Chunari Mein Daag - Why did I pick up this movie...well it had Konkana Sen, Jaya Bachan and I thought probably it would be worth. Sadly it was a slow boring film even though the film talked about how Destitute leads to Prostitute. But it had Kunal Kapoor - the saving grace of the film and I enjoyed his role in the movie. Do watch it if you are Kunal Kapoor fan. :D Sunday - Now this was a fun filled nonsense film. Laugh away to glory - thats what one could do. Remember I thought it was Friday on Thursday and the other day when I nearly missed the BDay celebrations thinking it was to be held the next day. Well P suggested me if I am like this, I should watch this movie. So, I picked this movie and it was fun. The ice cream welding Ajay Devgan playing the cop who didnt mind accepting bribes and that too in style. The one liners were too good. Just forget your brains and w atch the movie and have a hearty laugh.

Friday Class

It was jokingly called as Amar Akbar Anthony day with Holi , ID, and Good Friday being celebrated on the same day. Even the Zorastrians had their festival on this day. So it was the entire India celebrating. Me as usual had a class...and enroute I had a glimpse of the entire festivity travelling through lanes and bylanes as most of the route were diverted. The class for a change was good. We all participated in a group test. We learned Psychometric testing. It was fun. In one of the exercises there were 3 of us and we had to select just 1 person per team, so the Prof took a coin and tossed. Before he started the guy wanted top check the coin. Prof too was at its witty best his immediate response was " Dont worry its not Sholay coin." I came out as a "ascribed" leader :D Even though the class went on and on without a break no one realised it was time to dismiss the class. Looking forward to more of such classes.
