Another step pass-ed
Yippe finally came out of the PP office with the receipt for the passport forms deposited :D Now have to wait for the arrival. My cousin asked me to fill the section here with what needs to be done so that anyone reading my blog would take help....(Well I didnt correct him that very few actually read it :) anyways so here's info)
This is for reissue of passport with change of address = meaning treated as new passport :) under Tatkal scheme from Delhi, Bikaji Cama place
Get a token from the backside of the building before 11:30 AM as after they have issued a fixed number of tokens (somewhere close to 200); they close the counter.
And take photocopies of all the documents handy coz they might ask :anytime ) along with of course the originals :D And please do not staple the documents instead use a paper clip for the person verifying will rearrange them and staple them. Ok so the documents are:
1. Request Letter addressed to the passport office with the subj of reissue / issue of passport under Tatkal scheme and the reason for the urgent request; in this application mention your address and mobile number also after your signature.
2. Filled form 1 (1 pic here unsigned one; note all pics have to have a white background)
3. Filled PP form in duplicate (2 pics on 2 forms and signed across)
4. Verification Letter issued in the letter head by the gazatted officer in duplicate along with the photocopy of the ID card of the officer (refer the Annexure F) (2 pics on 2 copies which is signed across by the officer along with their stamp and office seal)
5. Standard Affidavit issued by the notary (refer the Annexure I)
6. Old passport along with the self attested photocopy of the first 4 pages and last 4 pages
7. And self attested photocopies as proofs for date of birth, proof of residence, and educational qualification for ECNR....refer to the 14 documents listed under Tatkal scheme
Thats all take your token enter the building head to hall 2 and wait patiently under the counter 3 and 4; the digital counter tells you the token number and when your turn comes submit the documents with a smile and speak only monosyllables. Keep an eye on the counter for at times it stops working :) Fill the forms for the verification letter issuing officer given to you by them and then submit the form again. After getting the clearance head to counter 2 and again get the forms cleared. and then the final counter the No 1 where you pay the fees and its all done :D Go home and wait as I am waiting :D
BTW there is no lunch break there. If your token number is in 100s then possibly go back and come to the office between 1:30 and 2:00 PM and easily get the stuffs done without longer queues :)
